Following is a message from Saline County Emergency Management. (And yes, it is quite similar to information just released by the City of Salina.)
If traffic lights are out, treat intersections like a 4-way stop.
Be aware of barricades at Centennial and Water Well Rd, and Ohio and Hedberg Rd.
Residents who need shelter or power for medical devices are invited to come to: Webster Conference Center, located at 2601 N. Ohio. Please check in at the chapel.
If you have personally witnessed vehicle damage, please report it to officials.
There are fires west of Saline County, there is no need to report the smell of smoke, unless you see an active fire.
We are aware of multiple downed powerlines, power outages, traffic lights, and hazardous road conditions. Our crews are working hard to resolve these issues.
