Dorothy Miller-Scheufele-Sandow was born November 21, 1916, near Dillon, Kansas the daughter of Fred and Rhea (Biesecker) Miller. She went to be with the Lord on November 1, 2023, at the age of 106. Dorothy worked on the farm and was a housewife all of her adult life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Rhea (Biesecker) Miller, and her two husbands, Wilbur Glen Scheufele and Marcellus Sandow. Six brothers: Harvey Miller, Freddy Miller, John Miller, Alfred Miller, Robert Miller, and Harold Miller. Five sisters, Emma Miller Anderson, Rhea Miller Rubino, Alice Miller Bolliger, Ruby Miller Jones, Mildred Miller Egbert, three grandchildren Matthew and Amber Hutchinson, and Dustin Sandow.
She is survived by her children Jaenette Scheufele-Hutchinson-Langley-Robinson of Rural Abilene and Rex Sandow of Herington, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was best known for her cinnamon rolls and baking. She was very active in her church and was a very loving and caring person. Graveside services for Dorothy will be at 2 p.m. Monday, November 6, 2023, at the Ebenezer Cemetery, with Pastor Lindsey Brummer officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dickinson Home Health & Hospice and may be sent in care of the Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home, 414 NW 3rd, Abilene, Kansas 67410.
