SALINE COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 7:30a.m. Friday in Saline County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported 2013 Kia Rio driven by Ochal J. J. Woul, 42, Wichita, was northbound on U.S. 81 one half mile north of Interstate 70. The driver was on his cellphone when the car left the roadway and entered the median.
The driver overcorrected to the right, overcorrected to the left and the car struck the guardrail. The driver overcorrected to the right again and the car struck the opposing guardrail and bridge rail. The car came to rest on the bridge.
EMS transported a passenger Thijin O. Reath, 19, Wichita, to Salina Regional Health Center.
Woul and a second passenger were not injured. All three were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
