Obituary for Darlene M. Danielson | Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home

June 16, 1937 ~ May 30, 2022 (age 84)

Darlene M. Danielson, the daughter of Howard Reed Dowell and Nora Alice (Anderson) Dowell, was born June 16, 1937 in Concordia, Kansas and passed away on May 30, 2022 at Bryan LGH East, Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 84 years, 11 months, and 15 days.

Darlene grew up on the family farm in rural Cuba, Kansas, attending the Haworth Grade School and then graduating from Agenda High School in 1955.

She was united in marriage to Dean Danielson on May 12, 1972 and to this union was born one daughter, Denise.   The couple made their home in Belleville.

Darlene loved taking care of her family and being a homemaker.  She enjoyed gardening, her flowers, cooking, going to coffee, and taking care of her cats.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Harold Dowell and her twin brother, Darrell Dowell, and sister-in-law Lenora Danielson.

She is survived by her husband Dean Danielson of Belleville, KS;  one daughter, Denise Danielson of Hays, KS;  one sister, Irene (Dale) Hess of Salina, KS;  sisters-in-law Joyce Dowell of Cuba, KS, and Ledona Dowell of Narka, KS; brother-in-law Don Danielson of Belleville, KS; nieces and nephews, other relatives, friends, and her beloved cat, Spotty.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2022 at the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, KS with Pastor Phil Goombi, officiating.

Interment will follow at the Belleville Cemetery, Belleville, KS.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2022 at the funeral home where the family will greet friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday.
