A Salina man was arrested after two-vehicle collision in west Salina late Saturday afternoon.

A 23-year-old Salina woman was southbound on Dover Drive and stopped at the W. Cloud Street stop sign when her 2016 Ford Focus was rear-ended by a 1998 Chevrolet 1500 pickup, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said this morning. The pickup then fled the scene.

The wreck occurred at approximately 5:45 p.m. Saturday.

A witness who lives nearby caught the wreck on video, Forrester said.

A green pickup was seen traveling at a significant rate of speed just prior to the wreck. The pickup was then seen headed east on W. Cloud Street.

A short time later, police received a call that the pickup was on N. Ninth Street at the tracks.
