June 17, 1981 ~ May 17, 2024

Justin Don Dean, age 42, entered into rest on Friday, May 17, 2024, at the Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas.  He was born on June 17, 1981, in Ottawa, Kansas to Donald Norman and Carol Sue (Frye) Dean.

Justin was a 2000 graduate of Chanute High School, Chanute, Kansas.  He went on to attend Neosho County Community College.

Justin was self employed, owning and operating his own windshield repair business. He had previously worked for a pipeline constructions company.

He played baseball at Chanute High School, earning All State his senior year.  He played football as well, earning All Conference in his senior year. He was a member of the Neosho County Community College Baseball Team. He loved watching football and baseball. His favorite teams were the Kansas City Royals, Kansas City Chiefs, and the Atlanta Falcons. He also enjoyed playing video games with his friends.

Justin his survived by his parents, Donald and Sue Dean of Concordia, KS; sister, Kristin Sue Halfhide of Concordia, KS; Aunts and Uncles, Jim Frye (Joyce), Scott Frye (Kim), Cathy Clark (Bud), and Nancy Kessler (Alan); nephew, Zachary Dean; nieces, Mikaela Dean (Shane), Kaylee Halfhide (Ethan), and Aivree Halfhide; great nephews, Weston Dean and Adrian Halfhide-Sterling; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Travis Judd Dean; paternal grandparents, Robert and Eva Dean, of Olney, IL; maternal grandparents, Gerald and Betty Frye of Villages, Florida; uncle Robert Dean, Jr; and aunts Carolyn Perkins, Gloria Dean, and Phyllis Gross.

Justin’s wishes were to be cremated and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date in Chanute, KS.
