Tiger volleyball sweeps ESU, NU in first spring action

HAYS -- The Fort Hays State volleyball team opened its spring season in dominating fashion Sunday, sweeping both Emporia State and Newman. It was the first outside competition for the Tigers in more than 15 months since the completion of the fall 2019 season.

The Tigers opened the day against Emporia State, sweeping the Hornets 25-18, 25-20, 25-21. Fort Hays State completed the afternoon with a three-set victory over the Jets, winning 25-16, 25-19, 25-22.

Fort Hays State are next scheduled to compete on March 6 when the Tigers travel to Topeka for a 2 p.m. match against Washburn.
