The City of Salina and Friends of the River Foundation, have invited the public to attend a presentation on the progress of the highly anticipated Smoky Hill River Renewal Project on Tuesday, May 13th at the Tony's Pizza Events Center.
According to the City, the presentation will focus on project costs, schedule, bridges, aesthetics and trails along the Old Smoky Hill River Channel. After the presentation, attendees may view maps of the project design in an open house format.
Representatives from the City and HDR Engineering Inc., (who are responsible for developing the preliminary design of in-channel features and the project's master plan) will answer questions during the open house format.
Doors open at 5:15 pm and the presentation starts at 5:30 pm.
Open house stations are expected to start at 6:30 pm till 7:30 pm.
