
Some parts of the area may see up to a quarter inch of ice from the storm moving through the area today.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wichita, most areas will pick up some ice accumulations with an average of 0.1 to 0.15 inches of ice.
Areas in the pink, on the other hand, are at a higher risk for higher ice accumulations. Amounts up to 0.25 inches are possible in parts of central Kansas today before the freezing rain and sleet changes over to rain by the afternoon.
