Darlene Pargman, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2024, at the age of 85. She was surrounded by her loving family as she transitioned into eternal peace.
Darlene was born on January 2, 1939, in Burlingame, Kansas, to Ansel Watson and Iva Seaman. From a young age, she exhibited a zest for life and a compassionate spirit that would define her character in the years to come. She grew up in Brewster, Kansas, where she formed lifelong friendships and cherished memories.
Darlene was united to Jack Pargman on June 16, 1957, in Brewster, Kansas. Darlene was a devoted mother to her children, Julie Seymour, Jack Pargman, and John Pargman. She poured her heart and soul into raising them, instilling in them the values of kindness, integrity, and perseverance. Her children were her greatest joy, and she took immense pride in their accomplishments and milestones.
As a grandmother, Darlene was delighted to have the opportunity to spoil her grandchildren with love and affection. She cherished every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories they will always carry with them. Darlene’s favorite pastime was watching sports, especially those her grandkids were participating in, putting together puzzles, and ultimately spending time with those closest to her.
Darlene will be remembered for her warm smile, infectious laughter, and unwavering kindness. She had a heart of gold and a generous spirit, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her presence brought comfort and joy to all who knew her, and her legacy of love will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
In addition to her loving family, Darlene is survived by John and wife Katy Watson, California; Wanda and husband Jerry Brewer Washington; Iris and husband Eugene Fincher, Colorado; Gary and wife Cheri Watson, Missouri; Dolores and husband Chris Quinones, Colorado. She was a beloved grandmother to nine grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and dear friends who will miss her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Jerry, Tom, and Gale.
Darlene Pargman will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace, knowing she was loved beyond measure and that her memory will forever be cherished. The family will be holding a celebration of life memorial at Grand Lake in Colorado on August 10, 2024.
