Amie Kay (Harden) Wolf passed on January 21, 2026. She was born on January 26, 1967, in Beaumont, Texas, to Thomas and Lavetia (Proctor) Harden. She spent her formative years in Warren, Texas. Amie met Steve Wolf in Pearland, Texas, and together they welcomed one daughter. The couple married on November 5, 1986.
In Pearland, Amie devoted herself to her family and worked as a hairdresser. In 1989, they relocated to Bennington, Kansas, where she undertook the task of hatching and raising emus and breeding pot-bellied pigs. She also assisted Wolf Brothers in the harvest fields.
Amie worked as a hairdresser and then as a CNA/CMA at Minneapolis Good Samaritan Center. She later cared for residents at the Miltonvale Manor. Most recently, she had been employed by The Golden Wheel, Papa’s Burger Mill, and Gene’s IGA in Minneapolis, Kansas.
Amie regularly attended church with her mother during her youth and participated in a mission trip to Mexico. In Miltonvale, Kansas, Amie attended Bible Methodist Church and was guided in Bible studies by Barbara Contreras and Joan Palmer. It was there she deepened her faith and devotion to the Lord.
Known for her compassion, Amie cared for individuals of all ages. She took pleasure in swimming, gardening, fishing, and garage sales. Her most fulfilling days were devoted to outdoor activities, working the land, and caring for her animals.
Amie was preceded in death by her parents, Lavetia Proctor and Thomas Harden; and her grandson, Tristen Wolf. She is survived by her former husband, Steve Wolf; daughter, Nikki Wolf; granddaughters, Adali and Baylie Drown; brother, Fred (Hue) Follmer; step-parents Robert “Butch” (Marge) Simmons; numerous aunts, uncles—including Uncle Alaska—cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Those who knew and loved her will feel her absence deeply.
