A man accused of driving under the influence, rolls over his vehicle before arrest.

According to the Saline County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday afternoon, deputies were dispatched to the 5800 block of N. Ohio for the report of a single-vehicle rollover accident.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered the driver was headed north on Ohio and left the road, rolling over into a west ditch.

The driver was identified as Javier Martinez (59) of Salina.

Deputies determined he was under influence of alcohol, according to Undersheriff Brent Melander. He was then placed under arrest for DUI and was transported to Salina Regional Health Center for a medical evaluation.

A witness on the scene told deputies about seeing Martinez standing by the side of the road. Allegedly, Martinez told the witness to not call law enforcement after the witness asked if he needed help.

The witness suspected Martinez was under the influence as well.

Martinez was cleared from the hospital and suffered non-life threatening injuries.

He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
