June 1, 1931 - May 29, 2021

Donna Lorraine Forsberg, 89, of Lindsborg passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Bethany Home, Lindsborg. Donna was born June 1, 1931 in Minneapolis, MN to the late Francis Arthur “Art” and Alma Caroline (Holden) Swenson.

Donna graduated from Concordia High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from Bethany College. She was married to Kenneth Forsberg on May 24, 1953 in Norway, Kansas.

Donna was a school teacher in Lindsborg and Salina. She also worked as a paraprofessional for special education in Lindsborg. Donna was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. She was an active member of the Lindsborg community, where she was a Meals on Wheels volunteer. She served on the Bethany College Alumni Council, and was the former secretary and a volunteer on the Lindsborg Pride Committee. Donna was also a former member and president of the AlKaid Federated Club.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Kenneth; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Lewis and Nadine Sole and Paul and Romeyn Nordell; and brother-in-law Edwin Pick

Survivors include her daughter Rochelle Glover (Rick) of Newton, KS; son Brad Forsberg (Jill) of Lindsborg, KS; grandchildren Brianne Whitley (Zach), Brooke Glover, Allison Forsberg; Megan Forsberg, and Garrett Forsberg; sister Marian Pick; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Shirley and Jon Sjogren; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Cremation has been chosen. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 14 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 401 N. 1st St., Lindsborg, KS with Pastor Amy Truhe officiating. Private inurnment will be in Elmwood Cemetery prior to the memorial.
