Karolyn Kay Moors

  Karolyn Kay Moors, 81, of Galva, KS, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, surrounded by family at Olathe Hospice House, Olathe, KS. Karolyn was a retired licensed cosmetologist.

Karolyn was born on December 8, 1938, in McPherson, KS, the daughter of Marvin J. and Irene L. (Unruh) Koehn. She graduated from Galva High School in 1957 and from cosmetology school in Salina in 1958. On August 24, 1958, Karolyn was united in marriage to Russell M. Moors at the Emmanuel Mennonite Church, Galva.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, McPherson.

Survivors include: her loving husband of 62 years, Russell of the home; two daughters, Kim Richards and husband, Phillip, of Manhattan, KS and Amy Cady and husband, Ben, of Overland Park, KS; four grandchildren, Lucas and Jacob Richards and Emmett and Charlie Cady; a brother, Kenny Koehn of Galva, KS; three sisters, Jeannette Logback of Moundridge, KS, Marie Bandy of Galva, KS, and Sharon Stubby and husband, Jerry, of Inman, KS; and many extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Marvin “Junior” Koehn, and sister, Nada Bird.

A visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday, November 22, 2020, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. The family will not be present. A private family funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church, McPherson, on Monday, November 23, with Pastor John Pattison officiating. Masks are required. Burial will follow at the McPherson Cemetery. The funeral service will be livestreamed and a link to view it will be posted closer to service date.
