LINDSBORG - Kansas Wesleyan Women's Soccer had another dominating performance on Wednesday as the Coyotes blanked the Bethany Swedes 5-0.
The Coyotes were on the offensive early and often in the match, not lighting the lamp until the 14th minute. Emma Gervy took an initial shot that was saved but bounced right back to Kendall Davis who scored it to get the Coyotes on the board.
In the 19th minute, the Coyotes scored it again on almost an identical play to the first goal. This time Rylie Moreno-Rojas sent an initial shot in that was saved but right to Emma Gervy who scored it to make it 2-0.
In the 24th minute, the Coyotes made it 3-0. Victoria Poon scored off an assist by Davis.
Wesleyan wasted little time in getting on the board in the second half. Minaya Winchester scored in the 46th minute off a pass from Moreno-Rojas to make it 4-0 Coyotes.
The Coyotes capped the scoring in the 67th minute as Grace Arteaga scored on Talia Walsh's assist to make it 5-0.
KWU outshot Bethany 25-2 in the match led by five from Moreno-Rojas. Isabella Galvan recorded another clean sheet with one save.
