JEWELL COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 11a.m. Thursday in Jewell County.
The Kansas Highway. Patrol reported a 2025 Volvo semi driven by Eric Nolte, 49, Commerce City, Colorado, was westbound on U.S. 36 one mile east of 260 Road. The wind blew the vehicle into the south ditch.
EMS transported a passenger in the sleeper identified as Chad Camasta, 42, Colorado Springs, Colorado, to the Mankato Hospital. Nolte was properly restrained and not injured, according to the KHP.
