A local woman was arrested for allegedly stabbing a Wichita man as he was attempting to exit a vehicle in downtown Salina late Tuesday afternoon.

Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said this morning that officers were sent to the 200 block of E. Iron Avenue at approximately 4:45 p.m. Tuesday for the report of a domestic dispute in a car. He said that a 20-year-old Wichita man and Melissa Baker, 20, of Salina, allegedly were having an argument inside a 2001 Buick Century that Baker was driving on E. Iron Avenue.

Forrester said the man's injuries were consistent with what he told police.

Baker was arrested on the following requested charges, he said.
