Noeline Carla Miller-Chestnut

Noeline Carla Miller-Chestnut, age 75, of Salina, Kansas, passed away on April 22, 2024, at home. She was born on July 23, 1948, in Salina, Kansas, the daughter of the late Katherine Lucille Brubaker (Buttermore) and Carl Coleman Miller.
Noeline was a hard working woman of strength and compassion, known for her kindness and generosity. She was a graduate of Salina High School, Class of 1965, and went on to work at several nursing homes as dietary cooks, then later at REMA Bakeware in the production department and finally at Russell-Stover Candy in Abilene before retiring.
Noeline fell in love with Chet Chestnut and married on June 25, 1988. They enjoyed almost 25 years of cherished married life together. Noeline was dedicated to taking care of her family and was an amazing wife, Mom and Grandma. She enjoyed camping, fishing, playing pinochle with family, working in her garden, and listening to audio books.
Noeline is survived by her loving daughter, Tina Zahn (Nathan) of Wichita, KS; stepdaughters Tracy Chestnut and Heather Chestnut, both of Omaha, NE; stepson Darryl Chestnut, of Omaha, NE. She is also survived by her grandchildren Natlie and Brandon Zahn, as well as step-grandchildren Dwayne Orth, Kit Chestnut, Christopher Driscoll, Tyler and Nicole Petri, Brittney Buckingham, Matthew, Wyatt and Audrey Chestnut and Teah Dunlop, and 12 step-great-grandchildren. Additionally, she is survived by her sister, Anita Morris (Kevin), of Salina, and brother David Miller of Evansville, IN and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Noeline was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Chester L. Chestnut, on March 17, 2013, an infant son Daniel, as well as her brother, Carl Coleman Miler II, and sister, Karen Sneary. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate Noeline's life will be held on May 4, 2024, at First Church of the Nazarene on South Ohio Street in Salina, KS. Friends and family are invited to join in remembering Noeline and offering their final farewells. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice in memory of Noeline are greatly appreciated.
Noeline will be deeply missed but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
