SALINA - Patricia J. Giersch, 90, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021. She was born in Salina to Ruben and Florence (Curry) Johnson.
Patricia and her husband, Bob, were married December 29, 1951. They moved to California while Bob was serving in the Navy. After his discharge, they returned to Salina and opened Salina Auto Trim. Together they operated the business from 1955 to 1990.
Whenever you saw Patricia you were sure to receive a hug. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 52 years, Bob Giersch; son, Rex Giersch; and sister Catherine Danenberg.
Patricia is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Bob) Graham of Salina, Janet (Joel) Nelson of Marquette; brother, Ken (Jerri) Johnson of Salina; grandchildren, Jason (Lashun) Graham, Travis Graham, Janelle (Randy) Lillard all of Salina; Josh (Janna) Nelson of Marquette; great-grandchildren, Kiley Graham, Bri (Quintin) Peck, Kayson Graham, Jaida Graham, Mazie Graham, Jaran Lillard, Jordan Lillard, Josie Nelson, Jaycee Nelson, Jaylin Nelson; great-great granddaughter, Dani Phillips and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. with a Rosary following at 4 p.m. Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Ryan Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, January 25th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Salina.
