One person died in an accident just before 7:30 a.m. Wednesday in McPherson County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2011 Chevy Silverado driven by Harry Neufeldt, 92, Inman, was westbound on Arapaho Road and failed to stop at the stop sign at Kansas 61 Highway.
The pickup struck a northbound 2020 Kia Soul driven by Aung Thiha Kyaw, 31, Salina. After impact the pickup came to rest in the roadway and the Kia came to rest in the median.
Neufeldt was airlifted to Wesley Medical Center where he died. EMS transported Kyaw to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.
Newfeldt was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
