Hillsboro - Dr. David Sheppard, 68, passed away April 28, 2021 at his home in Hillsboro. He was born March 5, 1953 in Smith Center to Dr. R.G. and Eda (Lippitt) Sheppard. He was the Director of the Marion County Special Ed. Coop. He married Marla Pruitt December 20, 1997 in Lawrence. Survivors include: wife, Marla Pruitt-Sheppard of Hillsboro; daughters, Rhiannon Corn of Hays, MacKensie (Danny) Cornell of Mulvane, Madison Sheppard of Hillsboro; brother, Mike (Margie) Sheppard of Olathe; sister, Debbie (Demetre) Evangelidis of Manhattan; grandchildren, Jordan and Mikaela Cornell.
