A Minneapolis teen was injured in a one-vehicle accident in southern Saline County Thursday night.

Dayton Randall, 18, of Minneapolis, was southbound on South Burma Road approximately two-tenths of a mile north of Thorstenberg Road in a black 2012 Buick Verano when he swerved to avoid hitting a deer, Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan said this morning. The accident occurred at approximately 10:35 p.m. Thursday.

Soldan said the Verano went off the road and struck a road sign. Randall told deputies that he thought he struck his head on the steering wheel, Soldan said. Randall was transported by EMS to Salina Regional Health Center, he added.
