The City of Salina has announced the closing of Republic Avenue for railroad crossing repairs.
Beginning this afternoon, Republic Avenue at S. Fourth Street will be closed for railroad crossing repairs. The work is expected to be completed by Saturday evening.
Local access on each side of the crossing will be allowed but motorists should find an alternate route while work is being performed. The signed detour route will be north to Crawford Street.
