The Southeast of Saline cross country teams closed out their regular season in dominant fashion on Thursday, sweeping their league meet to continue their NCAA reign.
This title marks a six-peat for the boy's team and a four-peat for the girls, who both finished every regular-season race of 2022 as the fastest 3A school competing.
Both teams closed out league with all six runners inside the top 15, as the boys wrapped up their race 60 points ahead of their next competitor in Beloit, and the girls finished 26 points clear of Sacred Heart.
Levi Allen led a block of Trojans that took each of the top four spots, with a time of 17:03 flat to pick up yet another race win on the year.
Behind Allen, Damion Jackson came home to take second, Brayden Walker claimed third, and Cayden Walker took fourth to lock out the top four for the Trojans.
On the league side of things, Jacob Bircher and Nakari Morrical-Palmer wrapped up their meet inside the top ten taking seventh and tenth respectively while freshman Isaiah Kejr rounded out the squad in 12th.
The Lady Trojans were once again led by Abby Commerford who brought home the silver for SES with a time of 21:05.
Commerford was joined on the podium by Ashley Prochazka who posted a time of 21:36 to take third, edging out Breckyn Alderson in fourth by just a tenth of a second.
Cali Augustine wrapped up her race in fifth to give Southeast four of the top five with Savannah Sutton, Brenna Felzien, and Sadie Franklin all finishing inside the top-15.
Both teams will now turn their attention to regionals as the Trojans and Lady Trojans prepare to take the first step toward a pair of state title runs on October 29th.
Regionals will be held on October 22nd at 11 am in Council Grove but both teams will have to wait until state to compete against Wichita Trinity where the Trojans and Knights will each enter as potential favorites to take a pair of state championships.
