Four people from Florida were arrested on multiple requested drug charges after a stop for speeding on Interstate 70 (I-70) Saturday afternoon.
Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan said this morning that at approximately 4:05 p.m. Saturday, a deputy pulled over a westbound 2020 Dodge Charger near milepost 248 west of Salina for driving 98 mph in a 75 mph zone. During the stop, the deputy detected the odor of marijuana. During a subsequent search, the deputy located marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and drug edibles, he said. Additionally, $222,236 in cash was seized, Soldan said.
All four persons were arrested on the following requested charges, according to the Saline County booking report.
