Helen Marie Kohl, 89, died May 24, 2021 in Wakefield, KS.&nbsp; She was born on February 27, 1932 in Miltonvale, the daughter of Ellis and Ruth (Garretson) Shepard.&nbsp; Helen was raised in the Miltonvale Community. She married Lionel Kohl in 1951.&nbsp; Helen worked as a tax preparer for many years.&nbsp; Lionel preceded her in death in 2008.&nbsp; She was a member of the Miltonvale Christian Church and the Concordia American Legion Auxiliary.&nbsp; Helen was preceded in death by her parents; son David; three brothers and three sisters.

Daughter: Sonja and husband Scott Borwege of Miltonvale, KS

Visitation:&nbsp;Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. at Phelps Funeral Home
