Kansas Wesleyan Baseball completed the three-game sweep of the Friends Falcons on Saturday winning twice by a 4-3 score, the second coming on a ninth-inning walk-off at Dean Evans Stadium.
The Coyotes had to rally in both games to get the wins.
The first game was scoreless until the fifth inning when Friends got a run on a sacrifice fly.
The Coyotes tied it in the bottom of the fifth as Tyler Favretto launched a ball out to right field to make it 1-1.
Friends had an immediate answer, taking a 2-1 lead in the sixth.
The Coyotes again tied it up in the bottom of the sixth inning. Joe Finder opened the inning with a walk and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Coulson Riggs. Pinch hitter Jesse Conrad then singled down the line in right field to bring in pinch runner Blake Dale to tie things up.
Wesleyan had a chance to push the lead further as the Coyotes loaded the bases but couldn't get another run.
Friends took the lead again in the seventh, but the Coyotes would take the lead for good in the bottom of the inning. Fernando Ruvalcaba led off the inning with a walk and Carter Allen followed with a double to score pinch runner Lakin Franz. Chase Aurand would bring in the go-ahead run with a hit to left center that scored Allen.
The Coyotes would then get two 1-2-3 innings from Hunter Blea to secure the win.
Shaw Lee got the win in relief allowing a run on one hit in an inning. Blea pitched two innings to get his second save of the season. Starter Nathan Righi went six innings, allowing two runs on seven hits with four strikeouts. Allen and Alex Garcia had two hits each for the Coyotes.
In the second game, the Coyotes needed extra innings, but got a walk-off single by Garrett Garfield that scored Jacob Williamson in the bottom of the ninth of the scheduled 7-inning game to get the win.
Friends took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning, but the Coyotes tied it back up on Allen's double that scored Garfield.
Friends took the lead in the second on a sacrifice fly, and extended the lead to 3-1 in the fourth.
The Coyotes got one back in the bottom of the fifth as Garcia led off the inning with a walk and then scored when Michael Rago stole second base, but the throw down would hit Rago and go into the outfield allowing Garcia to score.
Joe Finder tied it at 3-3 in the bottom of the sixth with a homer to start the inning.
The Coyotes had a chance to win it in the seventh, but could not push a run across leaving two runners on base.
Wesleyan avoided danger in the ninth as Friends got a triple by Bryson Rigsby, but Isaias Urriola struck out to end the inning.
Then it was the Coyotes' turn. Williamson singled and went to third on Favretto's base knock. Garfield then singled home Williamson and the Coyotes would walk it off.
Favretto, Garfield and Ruvalcaba had three hits each for the Coyotes. Ritter Steinmann got the win for the Coyotes striking out four in three innings of relief work, allowing just two hits. Starter Nathan Galusha went four innings allowing three runs on eight hits. Riley Gwin allowed one hit in two innings.
