Coyotes have 6 Daktronics NAIA Women's Basketball Scholar-Athletes

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the 2023 Daktronics NAIA Women's Basketball Scholar-Athletes and Kansas Wesleyan placed six student-athletes on the list.

Those named as NAIA Scholar-Athletes included: Angel RomanCaila HillCatherine BowmanJada RennerKourtney Kaufman and Megan Foote.

The 2023 list features 873 student-athletes that achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at their institution. Hastings (Neb.) leads the way with 15 honorees. Grand View (Iowa) and Tabor (Kan.) finished close behind with 12 honorees respectively.

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
