A man was arrested after an alleged assault on a woman at a Salina motel.
According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on Wednesday at 6:45 am, officers received report from a motel on 2110 W. Crawford regarding a man who assaulted a woman.
Reportedly, motel employees stated a 48-year old female victim and Ryan Mason (21) of Ulysses, got into a dispute outside of the motel area.
Mason allegedly assaulted the victim by kicking and hitting her on the ground. He also reportedly grabbed her phone and broke it.
Afterwards, Mason stole a set of keys and a bag from the victim, fleeing the area in his vehicle and headed west out of Salina.
Officers located Mason in the area of Crawford and Burma roads and conducted a traffic stop. He was then arrested and upon search of the vehicle, officers located illegal drugs.
He was then booked into the Saline County Jail for:
Robbery, Criminal damage to property, Domestic Battery, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of an opiate.
The victim suffered minor injuries to her face, head area and refused medical treatment.
Her keys and bag were recovered, according to SPD.
