Salina authorities are currently investigating a crime that occurred at First Bank Kansas in Salina, where an unknown suspect broke a window and started a fire.
According to the Salina Police Department on Wednesday June, 4th at around 8:00 am, officers responded to a call from First Bank Kansas employees on 1333 W. Crawford. It was reported that a window along the west side of the building had been broken out.
It was determined that an unknown suspect damaged the window and started a fire in the area of it. The fire caused damage to the window trim and carpet just inside the damaged window. However, no entry was made into the bank.
The investigation is currently ongoing and Salina Fire Department Fire Inspectors, are assisting the Police Department with the investigation.
Cost of damage was valued at $4,000.
