One person was injured in a motorcycle accident Friday evening on East Old 40 Highway in Salina.&nbsp;

Salina Police Sergeant Kyle Tonniges told Salina Post that just before 6 p.m. on Sept. 29 Thomas Barrett, was eastbound on 1100 block of Old 40 Highway where he failed to negotiate the curve in the road and was ejected from his 2003 Harley Davidson.

"He hit the south curb line and was ejected from the motorcycle," Tonniges said. "He was not wearing a helmet and suffered some severe head trauma and he was transported to the hospital with serious life-threatening conditions."&nbsp;

Tonniges said Barrett is alive and receiving care at Salina Regional Health Center.&nbsp;
