SALINE COUNTY—Two people including a teen driver were injured in an accident just before 4:30p.m. Thursday in Saline County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2013 Nissan Altima driven by Braydon D Borntrager, 19, Wichita, was northbound on Interstate 235 on the bridge over U.S. 54 in the right lane. The driver attempted to slow for traffic but was following too close and struck a northbound 2017 BMW 4-Series driven by Cody J Wisley, 17, Wichita, who was also slowing for traffic ahead.

The impact pushed the BMW into a northbound 2012 Peterbilt semi driven by Brian N. Dick, 40, Newton, who was merging onto northbound Interstate 235 from the eastbound U.S. 54 merge lane.

EMS transported Wisley and Borntrager to St. Francis. Dick was not injured. All three were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
