2 women hospitalized in Salina after rear-end crash

OTTAWA COUNTY —Two people were injured in an accident just after 12:30p.m. Monday in Ottawa County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2020 Freightliner M2 driven by  Albert Terrance Shank, 67, Salina, was southbound on U.S. 81 just north of Limestone Road. The semi rear-ended a 2019 Ram 1500 driven by Kayla Taylor Tinkler-Brown, 31, Concordia, who slowed abruptly to avoid a dog in the roadway. 

EMS transported Tinkler-Brown and a passenger in the pickup Gwynne Leigh Brown, 56, Concordia, to Salina Regional Health Center. Shank was not injured. All three were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
