The Christmas holiday brings with it a multitude of local closings.
Both City of Salina and Saline County offices and facilities will be closed Friday and Monday in observance of the Christmas holiday. Offices and facilities are scheduled to resume regular hours on Tuesday.
The city noted, however, that there will be no change to sanitation collection either this week or next. City sanitation customers are asked to set out their waste carts as they normally do.
The Salina Drive-thru Recycling Center will be closed Friday and Saturday in observance of the Christmas holiday. Regular operating hours are scheduled to resume Wednesday.
The city landfill will be closed Saturday, with regular operating hours scheduled to resume on Monday.
There also will be no Salina City Commission meeting on Monday. The next regular commission meeting is scheduled for Jan. 3.
Additionally, the Salina Public Library is scheduled to be closed on Friday and Saturday in observance of the Christmas holiday.
