An Illinois man is out an estimated $4,000 worth of items after someone broke into his work trailer in downtown Salina earlier this week.
Christopher Halmark, 30, of Havana, Ill., told police that sometime between 11 p.m. Monday and 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, someone cut a padlock off an enclosed trailer he uses for work while the trailer was parked in the lot behind 118 W. Iron Avenue, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this afternoon.
Items stolen include the following.
A black wheelbarrow
A Craftsman red toolbox with miscellaneous tools
10 assorted Milwaukee brand power tools
Other electrical tools
Total loss was estimated at $4,000.
