A Salina man was transported to the hospital after a pickup truck he was performing maintenance on rolled over the middle of his body and legs Saturday afternoon.
On Sept. 30 in the 500 block of Regent Road, a 62 year old man was working on his 2013 Chevrolet Chevrolet Silverado when, according to Salina Police Sergeant Kyle Tonniges, the vehicle started to roll.
"The truck started rolling backwards and ran over his legs and middle of his body," Tonniges said. "He was able to drag himself up to the house and got ahold of his wife."
Tonniges said the victim's wife contacted the Salina Police Department. He was transferred to the hospital with some serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Tonniges said that while working on the vehicle, the victim caused the transmission to go into neutral.
