State AG’s office to provide consumer protection info at Tri-Rivers Fair

TOPEKA - The Kansas Attorney General’s Office will offer information at this week’s Tri-Rivers Fair in Salina to help consumers protect themselves from identity theft, scams and deceptive business practices, Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt said today.

“The best way for consumers to protect themselves from scams is through education,” Schmidt said. “I hope folks will stop by our booth to learn more about how they can keep themselves and their families safe.”

The fair is in Salina's Kenwood Park. The AG's booth will be in Great Plains Manufacturing Convention Hall of Tony's Pizza Events Center, 800 the Midway. Display hours are as follows:

Wednesday, 6-9 p.m.

Thursday, 2-9 p.m.

Friday, 2-9 p.m.

Saturday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
