The Salina Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony at Gills Point S Tires grand opening Wednesday.&nbsp;

Located on South Front street, Gills Point S Salina is the newest in twelve different Gills locations in the state of Kansas. 

Formerly Peerless Tires, Eric Gill, owner of the Gills brand, purchased the prior chain of Peerless in 2024. With this purchase, the store underwent a complete remodel. The opening marks the finished facility.

Present at the opening were both Area Manager for Gills, Matt Rook, and current store manager, Adam McMillin. Previously the manager for Peerless Tires, McMillin kept his staff in the transition to Gills Point S Tires, of which has a collected more than fifty years of experience in tire service.

The Chamber of Commerce welcomed the new business to the local community with the cutting of the red ribbon, performed by McMillin.
