WICHITA, Kan. - Luke Armstrong of Kansas Wesleyan University, has earned this week's KCAC Football Offensive Player of the Week honor, the conference office announced Monday. Student-athletes are selected for their performances from Oct. 21-27 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by Equity Bank.
Armstrong had an outstanding day against Saint Mary, as KWU won 38-19. He ran 19 times for 264 yards and three touchdowns in the game. He averaged 13.9 yards per carry, and had over 200 yards before halftime. His 264 yards rushing is a new career high for him. He had touchdown runs of 96, 63, and 1 yard(s). This is the second time this season Armstrong has been named the KCAC Football Offensive Player of the Week.
The Coyotes are back in action on Saturday, hosting Tabor College Bluejays at 1 p.m. at Gene Bissell Field at JRI Hospitality Stadium at Graves Family Sports Complex.
