A Salina teenager was arrested in connection to the theft of multiple items from a shed in north Salina.

Sometime between Dec. 1 and Monday, the following items, valued at $1,950, were stolen from an unlocked wooden shed behind a residence in the 300 block of North Columbia, Salina Police Captain Gary Hanus reported this morning.

A Stihl weed eater

An Echo weed eater

A red metal toolbox with miscellaneous hand tools

A red Bronc Rally moped

A red leaf blower

Two black/silver Schwinn bicycles

A 45-year-old Salina man told police that he was notified by an acquaintance that that property had been removed from the shed in his backyard. The man checked his shed and discovered the above listed property was missing, some of which belongs to his neighbor, a 59-year-old female, Hanus noted.

According to Hanus, the man provided officers with information he had received in regard to a possible location of the stolen property.

Hanus explained that officers followed up on the man's information and were able to recover the red Bronc moped, the red metal toolbox and hand tools, the Echo weed eater, and the red leaf blower.

Police arrested Thaddeus Peck, 17, on the requested charge of burglary/theft in the case, Hanus said.
