Salina Police Department (SPD) officers arrested a Russell man on November 10 following a domestic disturbance in the 900 block of Beatrice Avenue, where the suspect allegedly pointed a firearm at a woman.
According to SPD Cpt. James Feldman, at around 10 p.m., a 48-year-old woman called 911 after her acquaintance Christopher Carson, a 38-year-old man from Russell, Kansas, began acting erratically inside her home.
"She stated he began acting kind of odd, demanding her name, even though they have known each other for quite some time," Feldman said. "He then pulled out a gun and pointed it at her."
Upon arrival, officers took Carson into custody without incident. SPD recovered a 9mm handgun at the scene.
Carson faces charges of aggravated assault and criminal threat.
