
Christopher Gerard Colosimo, 61, of Minneapolis, passed away Friday, September 26, 2025. He was born on December 4, 1963, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Chris served in the United States Air Force from 1982 to 1992. He was an EMT in that time as well. He was a part time Sedgwick County Sheriff's Deputy in the 1980s, in the 90s he was an ASE certified mechanic for Bengston’s Auto, and worked in the Engineering Department for Philips Lighting. He worked for Veolia Industries as an engineer.
He was a proud Jack Daniels Squire and an avid Jack Daniels collector, like his father. He was the proudest of his family and all their achievements in life especially his grand babies.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Nancy Colosimo, of the home; children, Chase (Faith) Colosimo, Garett Folger, Nicole (Jeff) Hauck, and Alexander Colosimo; bonus children, Cody and Chelsea; grandchildren, Everley, Grace, Ely, Bentlee, Bentley, Callie, Adylaen, Kenadi, Caleb, Adam, Spencer, and Natalie; bonus grandchildren, Rylee Roo, Gracyn, Camden, Xandra, Bella and Blaison; many nieces and nephews; especially his favorite niece, Jessica Molina.
He is preceded in death by his father, Harry Colosimo; grandmother, Rose Colosimo; and grandfather, Fred Colosimo.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Bennington Bible Church, 824 North Nelson Street, Bennington, Kansas.
Memorials may be made to Chris Colosimo Memorial Fund at Bennington State Bank, in care of Heier Scott Mortuary, 1920 East Crawford Street, Salina, Kansas 67401. The money will be used to buy funnel cakes at the Ottawa County Fair for kids. Chris loved going to the fair to get funnel cakes.
