Again this season, Kansas Wesleyan University's Mabee Arena will play host to the Salina Invitational Tournament's winners' bracket semifinals and the third-place and championship games.
Salina USD 305 schools host the tournament, commonly known as the SIT, with Salina Central and Salina South playing host to the quarterfinal rounds. 2026 is the 47th Annual installment of the SIT.
On the girls' side, Wamego is the top seed, Salina South is the No. 2 seed, Wichita East is the No. 3 seed, Salina Central is the No. 4 seed, Buhler is the No. 5 seed, Abilene is the No. 6 seed, Great Bend is the No. 7 seed and Junction City is the No. 8 seed.
On the boys' side, Salina South is the top seed, Buhler is the No. 2 seed, Great Bend is the No. 3 seed, Salina Central is the No. 4 seed, De Soto is the No. 5 seed, Wamego is the No. 6 seed, Abilene is the No. 7 seed and Wichita South is the No. 8 seed.
The SIT starts Thursday with quarterfinals at both Salina Central and Salina South High Schools. The semifinal rounds on the winners' side of the bracket will be played in Mabee Arena, starting with a girls' semifinal at 3 p.m., followed by a boys' semifinal at 4:30. The girls take the court again at 6 p.m., followed by the last game of the evening a boys' semifinal at 7:30.
On Saturday, the third-place games will begin at 10 a.m., between the losers of Friday's semifinals, and the championship games begin at 1 p.m. between Friday's winners.
Kansas Wesleyan will also be streaming all eight games at KWU on the KCAC Network, free of charge. Students from Salina Central's Mustang Media will be collaborating with staff and students from KWU to provide the streams, while gaining real-world, real-time experience of live sports production.
