WICHITA – Kansas Wesleyan women's track continued its outdoor season over the weekend at the KT Woodman Classic at Wichita State University.
The Coyotes put together some more quality performances at the event, going up against some top area talent from all levels of collegiate track, NCAA Division I to NAIA.
Elizabeth Stout (FR/Holden, Mo.) placed 11th in the shot put with a mark of 12.45m, and Nicole Holaday (SR/Gove, Kan.) was 17th with a mark of 11.76m.
Saffron Jacobs (JR/Johannesburg, South Africa) placed 25th in the discus with a mark of 36.46m.
Joni Schroeder (FR/Salina, Kan.) placed 26th in the 800m run on Friday night with a time of 2:31.01. Daniella Gaona (JR/Clifton, Texas) was 47th with a time of 2:48.63.
In the 400m, Grace Pearson (FR/Cypress, Texas) placed 33rd with a time of 63.01, Bailey Mann (SO/Ferris, Texas) was 35th with a time of 63.35, and Grayce Tankersley (FR/Hillsboro, Kan.) was 42nd with a time of 65.18.
In the 1500m, Madisyn Ehrlich (FR/Salina, Kan.) led the way for the Coyotes with a time of 5:00.71 placing 35th, Alayna Behrman (SO/Craig, Colo.) was 59th in 5:27.09, Regan Rhodes (SR/Mullinville, Kan.) was 71st in 5:51.96, Charlee Lind (FR/Wamego, Kan.) was 72nd in 5:55.95, and Savannah Pilsner (SO/Columbus, Texas) was 74th in 6:12.25.
Josie Koppes (SO/Manhattan, Kan.) placed 35th in the 5000m with a time of 19:01.56.
Bailey Mann placed 45th in the 200m with a time of 28.24 seconds. Grayce Tankersley placed 49th with a time of 28.94.
Up next for the Coyotes will be a select group heading to Lawrence for the 100th running of the Kansas Relays next week, and the team will head to North Newton for the Bethel Invitational next Saturday.
The Coyote Distance Carnival at Olson Family Track at JRI Stadium at the Graves Family Sports Complex will be on April 21 starting at 6 p.m.
