Posted Oct 16, 2020 12:08 PM

On Tuesday, the Kansas Department of Transportation will reduce eastbound Interstate 70 to one lane in Lincoln County for emergency road repair.

Work will occur approximately seven miles east of Kansas Highway 156, at mile marker 231.

Construction will take place Monday through Friday with occasional Saturday work during daylight hours. Traffic will be reduced to one 16-foot lane at a reduced speed through the work zone. Drivers should expect minor delays, not exceeding five minutes.

Smoky Hill LLC., of Salina is the prime contractor and has scheduled this $43,000 project to be completed by November, weather permitting.

KDOT urges all motorists to be alert and obey the warning signs when approaching and driving through a work zone. For up-to-date information on road closures and road conditions, visit kandrive.org.
