The National Weather Service (NWS) in Wichita has issued a wind advisory in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday for the following counties in our area.
Marion County
McPherson County
Saline County
South winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 45 mph are expected on Thursday.
Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
NWS in Topeka has issued a wind advisory in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday for Dickinson County.
Southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph are expected.
