Landon Norwood Prothro, the son of Lloyd Alan Prothro and Laurie Ann (Walenta) Prothro, was born July 29, 1975 at Cannon Air Force Base, Clovis, New Mexico and passed away on October 22, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospice House, Kansas City, MO, at the age of 47 years, 2 months, and 23 days.
Landon grew up and attended school in Belleville, Kansas graduating from Belleville High School in 1994.
Landon later made his home in Kansas City, Missouri. He worked for construction material firms as a salesman and marketing representative for several years. Landon recently was a warehouse and inventory consultant.
Landon was united in marriage to Jessie Dutton and to this union one daughter, Julie, was born. The couple was later divorced.
Landon enjoyed watching football and was a longtime Patriots fan.
He was preceded in death by his sister Elisha Corrine Prothro.
Landon is survived by one daughter, Julie Johnson of Omaha, NE; his parents Alan and Laurie Prothro of Belleville, KS; one sister, Regina Prothro of Belleville, KS; one brother, Emerson Prothro of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; other relatives, and friends.
Cremation was selected and memorial services will be held at a later date to be announced.
Inurnment will be in the Chester Cemetery, Chester, NE.
Memorials are suggested to St. Luke’s Hospice House and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
