Rita M. Oborny, 66, passed away Monday, November 16, 2020. She was born September 9, 1954 in New Almelo, KS to Wilfred and Agnes Marx.
Rita worked at St. John's Hospital and then Salina Regional Heath Center providing clinical data analysis, administrative, and secretarial support for 44 years. Rita loved gardening and flowers and enjoyed spending time tending her garden. She also had a passion for collegiate sports particularly KU basketball and was a member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Salina.
Rita was preceded by her parents, Wilfred and Agnes Marx; and brother, Kenneth Marx.
She is survived by her husband of over 33 years, Dennis Oborny; sister, Doris Shane; brother, Bob Marx; and several nieces and nephews.
Rita was cremated.
A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 9 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. and a rosary and funeral mass will be held at a later date.
