Kansas City's narrow 26-25 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday didn't come without a cost.

On Monday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Isiah Pacheco, who was taken out of Sunday's game with an apparent injury, will miss 6-8 weeks with a fractured fibula.

The Chiefs will place the star running back, who racked up 111 yards of total offense in Sunday's game on 5 catches and 20 carries, on IR, but Pacheco is expected to return later this season.

According to Schefter, Pacheco underwent X-rays Sunday night and had an MRI on Monday to determine the extent of the injury.

The Chiefs, who face the Falcons next week on Sunday Night Football, have now signed former running back Kareem Hunt to their practice squad.

Hunt, who was released by the Chiefs in December of 2018 following an incident in which he pushed and kicked a woman in a Cleveland hotel, will join Carson Steele, Samaje Perine, and Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who has also missed time this season, in a thinning backfield.

Hunt rushed for 2,285 yards and 25 touchdowns in five seasons with the Chiefs, before heading to Cleveland, where he rattled off 2,151 yards and 15 touchdowns in two seasons with the Browns.

The last NFL action for Hunt came last season in week 14 last season against the Jets.
