Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to impact central and eastern portions of Kansas through early afternoon, according to the National Weather Service in Wichita. 

While widespread severe weather is not expected, a few of the stronger storms may be capable of dime to quarter size hail, along with brief heavy rain.
